(updated 7th September 2014)
Farewell to Geoffrey - after over 20 years as Minister of Whitstable URC, Revd Geoffrey Collins retired at the end of July. Our Interim Moderator is Revd. Rodney Wood who is overseeing the Church whilst we go through the process to call a new Minister. Please read Rodney's message, posted on the From the Minister page.
Harvest Festival 2014 - Our Harvest Festival Worship will be a café church on Sunday 28th September, at 10.30am, led by the Church Elders. This year we will be supporting the Food Bank by asking for donations of food. Donations of UHT full / semi skimmed milk, cutting tinned meat, jam, desserts, tinned fruit and packets of sugar are particularly welcome (the Foodbank has requested no pasta or tea, please!). We are also asking, for the café church service, if - where possible - each family brings in something that has been produced in the garden or at home. Thank you.
Whitstable Horticultural Society Show - the Society's 82nd Autumn Show will take place on Saturday 13th September in the Church Hall.
Ride and Stride - we are taking part in a sponsored bike ride around Kent's churches on Saturday 13th September. Would you like to take part and help raise money for the Church - or would you be able to help be at the Church on the day to register visiting riders? Please contact us to find out more.
Worship - The calendar page now lists dates for Sunday worship for the coming months.
Twitter - If you use Twitter, please could you follow our Twitter feed? We now have over 150 followers and it's becoming a good way to communicate Church activities. Thank you!
